The Islamic Faith

Islam is the fastest growing faith in the world. The Islamic belief system is based upon the statement ’There is no God but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.’

Islam translates as peace and means to completely subjugate one’s will to God. The follower’s of Islam are called ’Muslims’ and not Muzlims, Moslems, Mohammedans or Islamist’s, as they are commonly referred to by the media.

The principles of Islam are based upon the Book of Allah, the Qur’aan, which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, via the Archangel Jibrael (Gabriel) and upon the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. One of the foundation beliefs of Islam is belief in all the Prophets from Adam to Jesus and the Books revealed to them and that Muhammad is the last Prophet of Allah and the Qur’aan is the last Book of Allah.
