Published 21 Mar 2010
Following the success of Interfaith Week 2009, we are delighted to announce Interfaith Week 2010.
The aims of Interfaith Week are to:
-
Strengthen good interfaith relations at all levels
-
Increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society
-
Increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious belief.
Interfaith Week is being led by the Interfaith Network for the UK, working with its member bodies, in consultation with the Department for Communities and Local Government and also with the Department for Children, Schools and Families, the Local Government Association and the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
